Here is a rare and previously unreleased recording of King Billy.
Recorded at Bush Tracks Studio in Nimbin northern NSW 1989.
All 7 songs written by Vic Manuel.
Rehearsed by King Billy. Recorded by Dave Hyatt.
Vic Manuel, Guitar lead vocals. John Booth lead guitar backing vocals. Tracey Stride keyboard. backing vocals. Chris Willoughby. Bass. Shane Manuel drums. Hydie Manuel backing vocals. Tommo snare outro I want to live.
Shane Vic and Chris played in the same band in the 70s. Mirkwood.
John formed another band at the same time Dhurana which included Kim Giddy and Michael Charles .
Michael and Kim went on to play with The Lipstick Killers in the early 80s.
Lot off water under the bridge since then but we are pleased to finally put this recording out there for your listening pleasure.
